Hi Standard flite king pump info
hello all, my name is nate and i recently bought a used flite king 12 gauge pump and had a few questions. first, there is no flap where you shuck the shells in. i was told that it was not uncommon for a gun not to have one, but i would like to know is that was common on this gun, or was it modified?? also the pump action is great, but the wood grip is kind of loose.[?][?] is that easily fixed or is that a big problem? also does anyone know the value,the wood is kinda scuffed but other than that it seems fine.

welcome! first, lets tackle the stock. im assuming you mean stock grip. remove the buttplate by removing the 2 screws in the back. if its a pad, look for the slits in the rubber and stick a philips driver in and remove the screws. oil up the holes good so the driver doesnt eat the rubber up. now, look inside the stock. see that nut or screwhead down in there? tighten it. put it back together. problem solved. now please explain what you mean by a flap where the shell goes? are we talking on the side of the gun? when you close the gun, you should see the side of the bolt assy only. is that what you see?
if you are refering to the forearm wood grip, that a different story and a little more tricky to fix. your gun is a ballpark 100.00 to 175.00 gun.

I think he means the carrier. The schematic on Numrich's site shows it having one,if it's missing I would have a smith replace it and check out the rest of the gun before firing. 0 -
The gun does have a carrier, but it is not a big solid piece of metal like an 870. It is skeltonized, more like a Mossberg. Hold the gun bottom-up and work the slide, see if there isn't a carrier moving back and forth.

In the closed position the carrier will not show at the bottom....if you open the action you will see the carrier at the bottom . The forearm being loose is a common problem for the less expensive pump guns ( if it feels sloppy) it the wood is loose on the iron then look at the end of the forearm and there should be a nut that screws the wood to the iron...this needs to be tightened. You'll likely have to fashion a tool out of something in the garage? We sold a similar HS pump gun in our shop Sat. for $135 0 -
arent the old m37 ithacas like that and the browning bps's? they flap up and down only when shucked? 0
