Pioneer .22 Rifle
I have a 22 caliber rifle that says it was made by Pioneer. It is a model 26 and has Gamble Stores written on it. It also has Gladstone Mich on the sight. I cannot find any info on this gun. Did Pioneer realy make it, or did another manufacturer make it---if so---who? Any info on this gun would be appreciated.
Thanks

It was probably made by Springfield/Savage/Stevens. I have found that most of these type rifles were. Check with Numrich at e-gunparts.com,they have a list telling which guns were made by what company. Back in the day just about every little mom&pop general store had their own line of guns. 0 -
Thanks for the help. Found it as you said. 0 -
FYI...Gambles was a hardware store chain and the vast majority of their guns WERE, as you said, Savage products. Nice little utilitarian guns for the most part.
