SKB O/U

I'm considering buying an SKB O/U 12 ga.....any thoughts ?

  I have had two o/u SKB's and loved them both. The main thing is to be sure the gun fits. I just bought a second SKB 12 ga. o/u that fits me just a bit better them my Winchester and the small difference makes a large difference in hits in the field. They are quality arms and I was told SKB makes Weatherby shotguns now.

  I have a full set of all gage 505's and 585's. Used them hard for many years. There are better, but I've always thought they were the best value for under $2000. Some of the newer Brownings and Wincesters also look good. Try Beretta 686, SKB 585, and Browning. You can't go wrong with any one of them.

  I was looking at what turned out to be an older gun, had been cut down, fixed chokes, not really what we were after....price was SURE right, but if its not what you want, best to look on......

  smart move. the 685's are niceguns. even nicer are the 785's.
