S&W model 60 & 65 differences
My wife wants to get a model 60. I have found several nice model 65s that are almost new. Do they differ much as far as size and trigger pull? My wife really lokes the 60s trigger.....Joe

I MAY be wrong but the last model 60 I saw was a J frame and model 65 was a K frame if your wife has small hands the J frame would be smaller. 0 -
Model 60 is a 5 shot "J" frame. They are available in both 38 and 357.
Model 65 is a 6 shot "K" frame, in 357.
The average womans hand fits the "J" frame better than the larger "K" frames.
Caliber wise, there are more Model 60's about chambered for 38 Spec., but with today's choices of defensive ammo that really isn't a big problem. However, if you can get one in 357 you have the best of both worlds.
If the revolver is for her, let her go with the one she feels more comfortable with even if it costs a couple bucks more.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -

Not to mention the 3" heavy barrel with fixed sights that was marketed back in the early '90's. [:D]

My friend just bought a model 60 in 38 special with a 3" barrel and adjustable sights. It is a j frame gun that she found to be the most comfortable gun that she owns. Kinda hard to find though. She bought it on gun broker. I would recommend trying to locate one of these. JMHO 0
