JC HIggins Shotguns Sears
I have inherited a JC Higgins 20 ga. bolt action shotgun. Nobody in the family seems to know anything about it except for some pinched fingers. Does anybody know anything about this weapon model number 583.19. Any info about this would be helpful but I am looking for take down instructions. If it is like the 583.20, look for a screw on the upper left side of the receiver. Remove the screw and you can then remove the bolt. No further takedown should be necessary.

It is essentially a High Standard model 10. You will have a hard time locating an owners manual for one of those, but what Nunn told you should work. 0
