Ranger 12ga double (hopkins and Allen?) Question

I just bought a Ranger 12ga 30" bbl sxs that the seller listed as a precision grade. my trade name cross reference says the ranger guns (Old-as this is)were built by Hopkins and Allen. Is this correct? (the seller said someone told him it was built by Stevens) Thanks! Max

  Many years ago I had a 12ga RANGER that was essentially a stevens 311. I wish I still had it!

  RANGER...Made by STEVENS Arms...Model 315 and Model 215..
  The 315 was made with Steel Barrels and Hammerless, Various Guages
  The Model 215 same as above, but with Outside Hammers...
