10/22 Bullpup stocks
I am thinking of buying a bullpup stock for my Ruger 10/22. I have a few question about them thought.
1.what kind should I get?
2.do all the hi-cap mags fit in them properly?
3.do they stand up to the use of an everyday avid hunter?
I will appreciate any help with this topic.
Thank You

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Muzzlelite pretty much has a lock on the 'bullpup' conversion market.
As for mag. problems the longer ones such as Butler Creek and the pistol grip on the stock have a clearance problem. I've seen this solved by shaving off a bit of the back of the grip.
Heavy use? I know guys that literally blaze away with 'em and they seem to hold up fine as long as they are properly lubricated.
Hunting? Forget it ... plastic stock, plastic sights or some form of optic on a plastic base. When you want to hunt, convert it back to the original stock ... it's a 5 minute job.
On the conversions that I do I always include the original stock and barrel band on the 'bullpup' models and I did the same thing when I did the MG42's.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
I have bullput stock from bushmaster paid about 100. They are great guns for ground hogs. As the other guy said they aint built for precision shooting
God Guns and guts0
