Ithaca 51 Value???
I am looking at buying a Ithaca 51 Featherweight in 20 ga. It is used but in excellent condition. What is the blue book value on such a gun?

ABOUT $250 +-, CHECK THE BUFFER (THICK RUBBER WASHER)INSIDE THE FRONT OF THE MAGAZINE. THE ORIGINALS HAVE ALL TURNED TO 'GOO'. AND THE GUN WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WITH OUT ONE. 0 -
also check the bolt carrier rails. they tended to crack.

My father had one in 12 ga and I loved that gun for grouse! Imagine a 20 would be even better. I lost the bolt handle shooting magnum loads through it and had to replece so keep that spring in good shape and clean. My brother bought another last year and that's about what he paid.
