Optimal red dot size
Given a choice of 2, 3.5 or 7 MOA, what's the best dot size for 25 yard bullseye? I've read that the bigger dot is better from two sources - bullseye.com and nygord-precision.com. Yet the more experienced shooters at my club are all of opposite oppinion.

For bullseye I would go with a 2MOA dot. I use a Trijicon Reflex II on my AR with a 4MOA dot and it works really well for longer ranges, bigger dots are better for speed and picking up multiple targets. 0 -
For bullseye, I'd go for the smaller dot. Really though, between the 2 and 3.5 moa, I'd be more concerned about a crisp, well-defined dot. The 7moa and up dots are more for IPSC shooting. 0 -
Hello this is truely one area where one size does not fit all. A 2 min dot to me is like trying to shoot a 20 power rifle scope offhand "you can see but the distraction is so great you can't get off a good shot" If you are very very steady 2 min might be the way to go. However if you have the shakes "I DO" then a larger dot is easier to use I use a 8 and sometimes 12 min dot. The best thing to do is go to wwwchampchoice.com and get an "ULTRADOT MARKSMAN VAR. DOT" it is adjustable with 4 different dot sizes. 0
