I'm thinking 7.62x54R ?? The one in the picture looks rimmed to me.

    I see they cost $4.95[:D]

Positively, 7.62x54R, the old Russian military round, still used in sniper rifles and commonly used in the US in surplus M-91 Russian long rifles and M-44 carbines. That's a nice find for collectors of 7.62x54 ammo and Russian firearms.

RG - 7.62x54R was (and often still is) simply referred to as "7.62 Russian" - it was on the scene for about 50 years before the appearance of the 7.62x39 which is known by it's full metric designation while the 7.6x54R often is not. Globe was a Canadian equivalent of Interarms, Century Arms, Hansen . . . packaging surplus ammo for sale to shooters. You might could get $15 - $20 for the box if you are patient. I've noticed very little interest in this company's product over the years and this box is real dirty. Unless one is dealing with something especially exotic / old, the market for full boxes focuses on the quality of the packaging.

I won't argue with anyone here who knows more than me (90% of the forum). All I know is that's way too long to be 39mm.

Agree with all of the above. It is a 7.62x54 Russian.

The Mosin Nagant Model 91 was chambered for this round as were the Model 38 and Model 44. It is a dead give away evidenced by the long neck, tapered case, and rimmed case.
