ON an AMD-65 you need 8, the barrel extension and secondary pistol grip bend the equation even further than usual.

My border collie is smarter than your honor student.

Do you also need another trigger group set? I have heard that the ones that you get with ak kits are full auto parts.

most of the amd65 kits i have seen have the auto trip lever missing but the trigger and hammer are the full auto ones which should be replaced with us ones to count towards your us parts count tapco has a complete us parts kit to make it legal.

    Dabug,
I don't have the pleasure of knowing Danielle, but then again, there are a lot of people here. Don't worry about the professor thing. He came up to me the next class period and apologized, so did some of the other students in the class. He is a really nice guy, and it wasn't really his fault. He just asked a couple questions and the class took over for the rest. I don't really want him to get in trouble because he has helped me out with some questions I had and I ended up doing good on one of his tests because of his help. I also kind of overreacted a little bit, I guess. Oh well.

Another option is, build it as a pistol, without the ability to accept a stock. Those stocks are almost worthless anyway. An interesting oversite about building firearms to be US compliant is the law only applies to rifles and shotguns, you do not have to include US compliance parts if building a pistol. But of course, full auto gizmo stuff is a bad idea.

You would also have to eliminate the forward vertical grip on a pistol build.

To err is human, to moo is bovine.
