    I have shot a 51 for years.

Since you have been shooting an A-5, consider a Browning Gold.

I am not looking for a fancy gun, just a practical one that is reliable and fairly accurate. I always hated taking a nice gun with nice furniture out into the field and getting it dinged up. I had an O/U at one time and I hated it. I didnt like it when 3 pheasants got up at once and I only had 2 shots. I want a semi auto for such situations.

It seems you want a semi, but you might want to check out a Benelli Nova anyways. I just got one a few months ago and couldn't be happier with it. Practical gun at a practical price, not to mention it's freakin' indestructable.

Check out the Benelli auto's.If you find one that fits you, buy it.They don't cost an arm and a leg, they don't weigh a ton, and they are easy to clean.

And this has come to pass, not to stay.

ive had great luck with my beretta 391. i've shot 3000 rounds thru it on the skeet range without cleaning it and not one malfunction!
i also own a benelli super black eagle 1 which in my opion is the best hunting semi auto around. Its light , well balanced, reliable and easily serviced in the field or a hotel room
i just bought a slug barrel for it and took my first deer at 130 paces !
down side its an inexpensive shotgun but re sale is good and you can find them on sale or used
    my 2 cents

I have a mp-153. Pretty wood and once broken in, I have have no problems with any load. Great gun for the money. Do a search here about it, has been talked about a few times.
