Discovered Why Mini-14 bolt locking up tight.

I posted a question here a few days ago asking if anyone had ever had a problem with their ruger mini-14 locking up with the bolt in batter with a loaded round. My did it several times after I received 4 new 10 round magazines and I hand cycled Greek Olympic 5.56 SS109 green tip ammo through the action trying to see if the mags would work properly since they were Pro-Mag after market.

Some thought it was a dirty rifle, or having used Wolf steel cased ammo had left me with a problem, etc. Instead this time I used some Spanish milsurp ammo and the action functioned perfectly. So I again used the same Greek ammo and the same new mags and cycled the action by hand (rifle pointed in a safe direction of course in the unlikely event of a "slam-fire"). Well, a few of the Greek rounds did cause the lockup of the bolt. So I took ONLY the rounds that caused the lockup and put them into the mags and again cycled the action by hand. Every round that had caused a problem, when mixed in with other non-problem rounds, again caused the bolt to lock in battery. So I discarded those rounds and will not purchase any more. Close examination revealed that the problem rounds had friction marks on the neck of the case and it was obvious that the neck was jamming itself into the chamber causing a friction fit and therefore the locked bolt.

Just wanted everyone to know just for their information and I appreciate all the suggestions and feedback I received when I made my original post.
