Colt SAA DOB

I just aquired a NIB SAA, nickle finish. Looks to be b/4 the internet as no web or email addresses in the lit. NIB/NBT. ser # SO9257A is the ser #. Any idea when made? Idea of value?

  Well, it's pretty new. The serial number charts we (all the Colt guys) use ends around 1985. Serial numbers started with the SA suffix (0001SA) when the SAA was reintroduced in the 1950s. Then it changed to a SA prefix (SA01001) in 1978. Then when those numbers were played out, COlt changed to S00001A. I think this was around 1992.
  So your SAA is an early 1990s revolver.
