Help with SMLE

I have an SMLE I need to sell and I want to get a feel for it's value. The gun is marked MA,Lithgow,S.M.L.E.,III,1940 on the metal band near the back of the trigger guard. The stock has the same markings except the date is 1941 and there is a larger HV also stamped on the stock. The stock looks to be walnut and should clean up pretty well. Is this anything special or just a run of the mill rifle? How much might I get for it? Just as a side note , I also have a parts SMLE III* 1918 Enfield(?) that has no bolt and the stock is cut off where the sling band was. Does it have any value for parts?

  Looks run of the mill Aussie to me. I'd say $100 - $150 depending on bore and metal condition.

  I suspect what you have is a Lithgow Aresenal, Australis, #1 MrkIII Enfield rifle.
  
  The photo was not good enough to determine the overall condition of the rifle but it looks like military surplus. The estimate from pack rat seems about right.
  
  Check with these guys they know it all about Enfields.
