M1 Garand windage knob?
While going through my spare parts I found a windage knob marked LUFKIN. I was told this knob is somewhat rare. I cannot find any info in my reference books. Does anyone have any info on this? TIA.

Lufkins Industries started making industrial gear parts in 1939. While I didn't know that they made any M1 sight parts, it seems, from your example, that they did.
Bendix Stromberg also made M1 rifle rear sight parts (marked BS), & they are also rarely seen. I'm sure that there were many companies that made whatever they could to support the war effort, but few records were kept.
Interesting, but probably not worth a lot.

FYI. Alot of contractors for small parts like that don't even know what piece of equipment it will go on. 0
