Ruger 77/17
I decided to buy this gun, and they offer a couple of models. I like the wood stock and blue barrelled one, but even more than that i like the varmint stock and target barrel version, with laminated wood and non shiny stainless barell, which is two inches longer than the wood stock one, at 24 inches. The only thing is, is that this one costs 90 bucks more, i dont know if i spend that much more. The only thing im looking for is accuracy, so i dont REALLY care about the laminated stock and stainless barell, does anyone think its a better shooter? THank you

I dont own or havent owned either one, however, my experience with factory barreled guns is its a crap shoot...both will probably shoot to your satisfaction and if you had the opportunity to shoot 5 of each model, my guess is that they would go back and forth on accuracy and not particularily favor one or the other...the beauty of guns is that they dont depriceatte much and you can always trade it off if alittle tinkering doesnt bring the desired accuracy you are seeking 0
