.30 06 Ammo and clips
Im sorry if this has been covered before but i could not find anything. What is a cheap site to buy a larger clip for a .30 06 and a site for cheap ammo preferably 180 grain. thanks for the replies

What is commonly called a clip is technically a detachable box magazine. I am assuming that is what you are talking about. The magazine will have to fit the rifle. There used to be and I suppose still are 10 round magazines made for semi-auto rifles. You might find one on ebay. Some work well and some are junk. I don't know which type or brand to recommend. The main thing to consider when buying hunting ammo is the type of game you will be hunting. The bullets are constructed to expand in a certain type game. In .30-'06, 180 to 200 grain bullets would be designed for elk or moose. These bullets would not expand well on white tail deer, for which a 150 grain bullet would be better. The 150 grain bullet would probably not penetrate deeply enough in an elk to reach vital organs. I think products from most bullet/cartridge companies will work reasonably well when used on the game for which they are designed. Some are slightly superior to others and we all have our personal preferences. I hope I have answered your questions. 0
