M&P Model of 1905 4th Change. S/N range places it in a prodution span from 1915 to 1942 ... however given the s/n I'd guess it at mid-1930's production.

Also what you have is known as a "Five Screw". There are 4 screws on the right side of the revolver and the 5th screw is at/above the front of the trigger guard facing back toward the butt of the revolver.

Value, in Excellent Condition, is nominally $250.00

Replacement mainsprings are readily available from a number of sources, including Smith & Wesson, Numrich (eGunparts) and Wolf Springs. Or if you don't feel like hunting them down use the mail icon at the top of this reply to drop me a note and we'll work something out.

    Hope this helps.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

Thank you! That was most helpfull. Due to it's low value rate I guess I'll turn it into a shooter. Standard pressure of course.
