Problems have turned up. At least one company making the conversion barrel has pulled them from the market. This has been discussed here before but for some reason I can't get the search function here to work.

US 55840 is correct. The standard 10-22 will not handle the pressure of the Mach II. In answer to your question, I have converted my 10-22 to the .17HS or more commonly known as the .17agulia. At the time, I purchased a Green Mtn barrel to make this conversion I was under the impression the 17Mach II & .17 HS were the same. WRONG!! The .17Mach II is a longer case & will not fully chamber in the .17HS barrel. A word of caution here (from experience), the .17Mach II will chamber far enough in the .17HS barrel to fire. There are currently (3) different .17 rimfires on the market that I am aware of. The only safe interchange I know of is firing .17HS-agulia, in the .17Mach II. Getting back to the conversion of the 10-22 to .17HS, I am very pleased with the accuracy and function. 100yrd groups of 5 shots are within a dime.
