What does the ASMH mean on the barrel? Thanks in advance Iowa

  Not sure.
  I am the original owner of an 810 bought new in 1973 and i dont recall seeing anything like that on the barrel.
  I will look at mine tonight and see for sure if it's on there.

  Iowa i checked my barrel last night and all it has is Mossberg 810A along with the city of manufacture(New Haven Conn.)
  Perhaps yours is one of the later models.
  They quit making these rifles in the late 70's.
  Never understood why they did not keep making rifles.
  Mine is very accurate.

  I can not find anything about these initals on this gun. It is factory and thats all I know.
