Taurus PT-111 opinions...other options?
I am looking to purchase a smaller size compact semi-auto pistol that I can carry/conceal. In looking at different weapons I really liked the size, look, and feel of the Taurus PT-111. I read a really bad review on-line about a problem with the sub frame craking or something. Many people had chimed in saying they had problems after 500-700 rounds fired. I would appreciate any feedback anyone would have on this pistol, and also any other comparable pistols. I realize there are many models, but price is a big issue. Am looking to spend under $400. Thanks in advance... Travis

I looked at the PT-111 when I wanted a CC handgun. Finally bought a PT-140 because the 40 cal is a little more effective than a 9 mm when using a short barrelled firearm. I use 155 gr HP in it and get good groups at 10 yards. The bigger bullets flip the muzzle too much. 0 -
good review in Guns and Ammo mag - I'd am looking forward to shooting one - good luck 0 -

I own one and really don't like it at all. Wouldn't recommend. Front sight fell off first time I shot it and manuf. would not fix as I couldn't find the sight. Also gun miss fires at least once every clip and trigger pull (police pull) feels like a cap gun! quote:Originally posted by tbrigh01
