    Thanks all! Couldn't read that first letter on there; getting old and blind to boot!! It all makes sense now, and I do believe I'll take a pass on this one I'm afraid. Looks really nice, but I shoot what I collect and would prefer not to wear the bolt in my eye socket! Thanks again!

    M.C., yes I did forget about the chinese (I've been trying to ever since seeing the first one). Also I didn't mean to say that the LaCrona's are unsafe, just that they aren't as well made as most other mausers. The Japanese also made some mausers (2 different ones at least), but these are well made of good steel.
