Browning .22 cal. hand gun value
I am curious to find out about a gun my dad recently gave me. It is a Browning .22 cal hand gun. It has a gold trigger and it was one of the last ones made in Belgium. I was wondering if anyone knows any information about this gun and its possible value. My dad bought it new he said in 1971 or '72. Any info would help. I am not real familar with the gun.

You might want to look and see if it has a model name, like Nomad or Challenger. Then you could look on the auction for the same model gun, see what other people are asking for them, and get some useful info from their descriptions.

Browing Customer Service might be able to help you on what it is but I'd go to the blue Book for value - very nice piece 0 -
Does it say Medalist on it?

No matter which of the three it is, it's not going to say "Nomad",
"Challenger" or "Medalist" on it.
The serial # will be your best indicator of model.
xxxxxP70 would be a Nomad made in 1970
xxxxxU71 would be a Challenger made in 1971
xxxxxT71 would be a Medalist made in 1970
for pre-1970 vintage, the year of manufacture will be single digit,
ie. U7 for a Challenger made in 1967.
Just remember the P, U, T initial nomenclature and it'll get you
headed in the right direction.
If any ?'s, you're welcome to contact me directly.
