Improving the trigger on an AR
I just finished putting together My first AR. It is a Rock River parts kit on a RR lower. It has to be the worst trigger I have fired. I smoothed all of the surfaces with a fine stone, which helped, but it is creepy and has a 10.5# pull. My last AK came out with a much better trigger. What surfaces should I work on to improve this one. A little bit of creep I can deal with, but the 10# pull sucks.
Maybe just put an adjustable JP or similar trigger in now...?

I like the new Chip McCormick trigger. I've had JP's and Rock Rivers, and the Chip Mc is the best.

I have Jard single stage adjustable triggers set at a 2 lbs pull weight in both of my Colt Match Tagets HBAR's. Sweet! 0 -

Hi, Try the Yellow Tavern spring kit from Brownell's. That should help a lot with the pull weight. The sear and hammer angles will have to be changed in relation to one another to eliminate the creep. Good luck. Lars 0
