Opinions wanted. New Shotgun

Here is my list of options. In order of prefrence
#1. FN Tactical model 17679

#2. Benelli M1 Tactical

#3. HK FPG

#4. Remington model 5077 or the 4901

#5. Mossberg 500/590

I'm leaning toward the FN. I would like more opinions on these or other Brands/models I might need to look into. Thanks for your opinions and help.

    JBoss..... I have no experience with the FN, but I have 3 Benelli Super 90's and I love them. I have been using the Benelli's in competition for about 15 years.

    They are accurate, fast shooting and fast handling guns. With the mag extension in place, they will hold 9 rnds total.

    I may be mistaken but the FN Tactical shotguns are just a Winchester 1300 Defender with some bells and whistles. Benelli M1, Super 90s are awesome guns but VERY pricey.

    You can't go wrong with a Mossberg 590 for the price and they are work horses. Also check out the Rem 11-87 Police Model. Great semi auto for around 650.00.

    what will it be used for? that will determine the best gun for you. rule of thumb with a shotgun, work your way back from the target. then pick something that will do the job.

    I was very fond of the Benelli M-1, the Beretta 1201FP, and the Remington 870 Police. Then I was issued the Mossberg 590A1c. 14", tritium sights, speedfeed stock, lengthened forcing cone and improved modified choke. We shoop trap with them for practice and qualification. I now have a new favorite. I carry it everywhere, on duty or off.
