black hills match grade vs. black hills gold ammo
I have long been a fan of black hills match ammo--shooting it in both 223 and 308.
I would like to try out their hunting ammo sold under the name Black Hills Gold Ammo. What should I expect in accuracy differences between a 308 match round versus a 308 gold round??

if its hunting ammo then the bullet is going to be different. Black hills match has a hollow point boat tailled bullet, while the hunting ammo may have soft point, the accuracy will be affected, but not greatly. The only concern i would have is firing it out of a semi-auto, as feeding will be greatly affected, and will probably mis-feed, which causes a deffciency in accuracy.

Ker2222,
Latest edition of SWAT magazine has an article on the new BlackHill Gold Ammo. They had results from 1000 yards (300 Win Mag) and it was pretty impressive for factory loads. Pricey stuff though. In their 308Win line they have either the Barnes X-Bullet 168gn, Nosler Ballistic Tip 165gn and 150gn.
Their match ammo is a Sierra Match King I blieve.0
