The grand slam glass is better. I don't know if the V series has the adjustment system as the grand slam (micro-trac),..but if not, I'd throw a bit more at the grand slam and not look back. Their adjustment system for the GS is taken from the "T" series benchrest scopes. I find it VERY interesting that "T" series Weavers are still found on winning Benchrest rigs,..but NOTHING even remotely close to their price makes more than a 1-2% showing.[8D]
FWIW,..I set a Sightron, a GS, and a Zeiss conquest on the rail outside the sporting goods store and at a guestimated distance of 450-500yds to the attic vent in a farmhouse, the GS glass was the best,..especially when edge to edge clarity was evaluated. I did focus all 3 for my eyes as well. The conquest was a close second and the sightron I found to be lacking in clarity for my taste. I know that is far from a scientific data set,..but for that one showing I am impressed with the GS glass.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
