I have a springfield M2 Model# 1682 22 Cal. I am looking for a clip that will work with this gun? I have seen Model# 1922 will that work?

I have collected a lot of shotguns over the last ten years. What started it all was when an old storage building near my home was torn down and I came across a pile of old outdoorlife and field & stream magazines dated back to the 30's. I was fascinated by the old shotgun ads (and prices!) back then. I travel alot and visit many pawn shops. I buy old shotguns, mainly single shots, for their unique styling of hammers, long barrels, and levers. I have a Springfield model 940E s/n P258836. Can anyone tell me when it was manufactured? 0 -
A serial # would help, a lot of counterfeits out there.
If the serial # range is 125,xxx-135,xxx Price from the book goes from
$450 for 60% to $1875 for 100%
but unsure, it also could be a Philippine model.

Without a complete description of the Krag that you have, no one here can help you. What type of Krag are we talking about? Rifle, carbine, cut down rifle, sporterized rifle or carbine, gallery rifle, Parkhurst alteration, which one? In the model 1898 they made 330,000 rifles alone not counting carbines, special length rifles and gallery rifles. As with any antique condition is everything. How much of the original finish is left on the metal? On the wood? What does the bore look like? Is the inspector's cartouche still present and if so what are the initials and date inside of the box?
