Rem Mtn Rifle Update

After retorqueing the rifle stock and making sure that it was completely floated, I shot 3 groups of 3 rounds each and to my amazement each was under 1.5 inches. I also did not realize that contact with the sling swivel DOES affect accuracy. I origanally sighted the rifle in with the use of a pair of Harris Bi-Pods. After reading the post from nonosense I decided to try the bi-pod again and the groups open up to about 2.5 inches with an occasional flyer. So the bi-pod goes back in the closet for another day.

I was very impressed with the responses I recieved. And I think the information was right on.
