Sighting in a new scope
Hi guy's (and gals). I asked this question a long time ago, printed the answers out, and lost the printout. Hope you can help me again.
I have a new scope on my rifle, and the question was, "will sighting it in at 1,000 inches do any good for shooting at 100 yards" ?
Thanks again in advance. MIKE

It would sure get you really close, but I would shoot it again at 100yds to be dead sure I was on target. Some calibers are better at this than others, and scope height over the bore is always a factor in it. Shoot lots and enjoy the experience.
Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.0 -
sight it in at a 100 and then see what it does at 25 - then you can always check your zero at 25 later - good shooting 0
