made 1974 to 84. value, 2000.00 to 2500.00. 95 to 98% is a big spread and hard to tack down. thus my wide price range.

Good morning VGUN1: Well that's a tough question. Bobski is correct when he said they were made from 74-84, and by your serial number that would be a first year set, 1974. After looking at some of the Winchester web sites that I follow, (23) nobody has one for sale right now, that I've found. The Md 101 has quite a following, so there are buyers out there, it's just trying to find the best way to market the gun. If you need a value for insurance purposes, it's always best to go high! I would put a replacement value on it in the neighborhood of $3500. As far as a value for selling it, I think you could expect somewhere from $2200-$3500, from a Md 101 fan or a serious Skeet and or dove/quail shooter. Replacement value on the Winchester case is around $400 if you can find one. Like I said you just don't usually see these on the market, so it's really a sellers market on this one. One way to see what the value is is to put it on GB here with a Reserve price to protect your investment, and see what kind of bids you get. You might try to get a copy of the latest issue of the "Gunlist" and check that about once a month. Hope this helps you. Regards Dave
