Colt 1903 trigger mush

I recently obtained a rough 1903. I played around with it, and put new springs in all around. Reassembly was harder than expected (I had taken it down to bare frame). The problem now is that if I pull the trigger back, without squeezing the grip safety, I can feel the trigger pushing on something, with some give; on my other 1903s, there is no such give. What is up with this?
