have come acros a beretta neos .22 pistole with a 4.5 inch barel and a red dot scope mounted on it foe 329$ used at a local gunshop
anyone have any experience with these pistoles; accuracy, reliability etc? it would just be a plinking gun but i would still like it to be accurate
thanks fellas0 -
Neo's are a good value. Have heard some rumblings that they can be picky about the ammo you feed them, but I have not run across it in the ones I have shot or been around when they were in use, so maybe it is more of a break-in and/or maintenance issue.
However, I like Ruger and Browning pistols a little better and they are in the same rough price range.
Neo would be a nice starter pistol and general all around plinker and like the Browning the Neo can be converted into a carbine so there is the dual purpose angle to consider.
I suggest you find a range or ranges that have rentals and try all 3 to see which feels and performs best for you.

Sure like mine. Have a laser and shoots great.

I love mine. I waited and got the new 7 1/2 barrel. Have a red dot on it. My buds complain that my barrel is half way to the target before I fire!

i had one and it functioned perfect, i only experienced 1 FTE. I got rid of it because the trigger sucked, couldnt even compare to my ruger mark 1. it would make a great plinker however.

I got one this spring, and I agree about the trigger.I love everything else about it, though. I don't think it will be long before the aftermarket companies come out with better triggers. Hopefully Volquartsen will make one soon. I plan to buy the cabine kit for mine as soon as I can find one. 0 -
I ran out and bought it the day it came out just to see the design up close and I like the damn ugly thing. Now that the accessories are comming out I like it even more. BTW it shoots pretty good also.
