  If you are refering to the boxed ammo then yes. 223 remington is the name of the caliber.

  It sure is the same, the only thing to be careful about is using .223 military ammo in a non military gun. Throat length can be a problem leading to pressure problems...........proceed with caution !!!!

  Whoa... the 223 rem is basically the same as 5.56 nato. The 223 win is probably 223WSSM 2 toatlly different animals. need more info.

  Whoa is right!!! There is no such animal as a .223 Win unless its a WSM.Could be a typo and be a .225 Win. Win does make 223 Rem cal, but thats what its marked. Why don't you post the exact headstamp if you only have the ammo, or the caliber markings if you have the gun.
