Colt Commander in a 1911A1 M3 Holster
Will a Colt Commander fit nicely into a 1911A1 M3 Shoulder holster?[?]

I believe the fit may be a little loose as the grip and slide are shorter than a standard size pistol, but it should still work.
To be sure take your pistol and try it in one of the rigs.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Thought the grip was identical on Commander and 1911A1.

The grip on Commander and 1911 are the same. Just that Commander is 3/4 of inch shorter in barrel length. 0 -
My bad ... thanks for catching it!!!

It'll fit just fine.
Since the Commander is just a tad shorter than an M1911 or A1, it'll fit any holster made for those pistols.0 -
I use one for my Combat Commander- works fine 0
