Super Blackhawk .44
I just bought a SuperBlackhawk NM in .44 for 250$. It has a gunsmith cut 4 inch barrel, which makes it pretty handy in the woods. Nice job of shortening too. Is 250 a good deal or did I get hosed? First revolver buy on here, first was at an auction in town, I got a Smith-Wesson Model 36 Chiefs Special for 160. Brand New, not even cylinder line. Wish I did'nt sell it...

You did alright...Muzzle Blast might make your ears ring a bit because of the short barrel....but all in all...not a bad deal...especially if you're happy with it....and thats all that counts.....
If You pull up J&G gunsales in Prescott, Arizona......They have some Ruger barrels...Maybe they have a Longer Barrel for your BH....?

Yeah yesterday I was out rambling around the woods when I got charged by a black squirrel. I managed to loose off a few rounds but my ears a re still killling me. Only think is finding a holster, right now im using a NM Blakckhawk 45 lc holster. Wsh I knew where to find one. 0 -

Load 'er up w/ some 44 special for days your fighting off the smaller critters. Easier to handle and a little less roar.
There are lots of good holsters out there, be your perference western or conventional. Heck you can spend more on a good western rig than you did for the revolver[:D]

does the gun have a round trigger gaurd or isit squared off in the back near the grips ? is the barrel 4 or 4-5/8" ? 0 -

several years ago Ruger made a limited run of Super Blackhawks with a rounded trigger gaurd and a 4-5/8" barrel, I was thinking that maybe yours was one of these but since it has the squared gaurd , it sounds right you're right on the money as far as it being cut down at one point,
if you find you don't like that short of barrel there is a seller over on the other auction that usually has Ruger barrel for sell [:D]0
