Hey who has some land and would like some hogs on it for game purposes.

    Missouri has lots of state ground with hogs running wild. The conservation dept will let you hunt them year round without a permit.

    i appreciate that but i kinda was goin the other way but that is my fault i was vague and in a hurry .. i mean i hunt hogs for a slight source of income and my pens are getting full... need to get rid of a few'

    I hunted hogs near Lake Santeetlah, NC (sp?). A few years back. The Blue Boar Lodge. Went on my own a couple years ago and there was very few hogs about. Word was that they were being trapped (illegally, from public lands) and sold to private game farms. [V]

    Now that was some good hunting and good eating before they were trapped out of existence. I hope these pigs were trapped on your land. [:(!]

    as a matter of fact i dont trap we use dogs and hands to catch them.
    It is the same as killing them but i feel i earn it... and we release alot back on to game management lands in order to keep our supply steady .. but i do feel a certain pride in being able to give to other hunters who don't have the opportunity b/c if they do it right they can have supple herds

    You don't westle them to the ground and hog tie them do you?? Do you use ropes before you lay hands on them? How big are these pigs you are capturing??

    This does sound sporting. Fun actually [;)]. That you are making provision for a continuing "herd" on the game lands is great. They are fanastic game animals and the best wild game meat I have ever eaten!!!

    To each their own but somehow i dont think anyone would be wrestling with the 275 pound tusked Boar i killed with my Rem. 600 in 6mm a couple of weeks ago down in South Texas.
    Walking up on that brute was scary even if he was dead as a hammer.[xx(]
