Reasonably priced rifle scope

Without breaking the bank ($200 to $300 range) what are your recommendations for a scope for my .223 24" bull barrel range/varmit rifle? It's on a FAB 10 platform.

I'd prefer a variable, and I'm looking at the 3-9 or 3-10 range.

  You should be able to get a Nikon Monarch in that range pretty easy on ebay.

  In the $300 range the Bushnell 4200 is hard to beat.

  Tasco super sniper. If not that, then I say a used Burris signature,..nikon monarch, or 4000-4200 elite series B&L. All are superb scopes. But for a tactical style rilfe,...I'd set it up with the tactical style scope,..i.e. the super sniper (never thought I would recommend a tasco product).
