Are you sure the # is 231? My reference book doesn't have numbers that high. If the number should be 123, then it is for the 30-06. The number 95 is for the 38/357 and the number 42 is for the 38-40 according to my Ideal Hand Book #38. Emery

Hello I concur with MAZO KID 164 is thehighest # listed in all of my ideal quick reference tables all other info is as he stated 0 -
mastershooter.....the 231 on your seating screw is the seater plug #....it indicates the bullet shape that it was designed to seat. In this case, it was made to seat a 110 grain flat point cast bullet for the 25-35 Winchester or 25-36 Marlin. Mold # is 257231. Another example would be the 175 grain cast bullet (mold # 321232) for the 32-40. Seater screw # is 232. The 1st 3 numbers on the mold indicate the as cast diameter, the last three the bullet shape.
Hope this helps.....

Do you have a FAX # I can make a list. Or look here and other web sites for Ideal catalog # 30 - #35 all have them I did not look at my earlier and later ones. Karl the PERRY SHOOTER 0 -
mastershooter.....here is a link that will get you started.....keep in mind that there were lots of transition periods involving the old Ideal tools and the 310 tools and you sometimes have to combine a little. Go to the "Reference" tab for the old and new.....
