is there anything to watch out for?

Just bought a Marlin 1894S in .44 mag on auction. I'm starting to hear people grumbling about different recalls and safety stuff and what not. Is there anything I should be looking out for on this, or am I good to go? I'll have a gunsmith look it over, but I just want to know if there's anything I should ask about specifically. Thanks.

  I though you were the gunsmith. Were you not wanting info on a FFL for your gunsmith shop??

  I'm thinking about opening a shop--when I can get all my equipment moved out here (the perks of moving often). However, just like doctors never treat their own family, or practice outside their discipline (cardiologists don't do rectal exams), I'm not gonna examine my own gun, especially when I'm not all that familiar with it. Besides, the other guy has lots of stuff to look at[:D]
  
  And since it's such a flippin hassle to get the type 07, I'm probably just gonna go for the type 01 and see if I can just become a dealer. Hopefully I can make some decent money that way.
