WW2 German handgun?
I recently received a WW2 handgun. I believe it to be German mfg. or one of the occupied countries during that period. The markings on the slide are as follows:
fnh Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65
There are no markings on it that indicate it to be Nazi. It appears to be in excellent condition. There is no bluing worn off and any mechanical wear appears minimal. The serial numbers on the slide & frame match. Serial number begins with 47XXXX. I would like need more information and direction. Any is appreciated. Thanks.

Pistole Modell 27 (t) was the Czech Army Pistol and Production was Continued under the designation Pistole Mod 27 by the Germans..WW2..

Here is a late WW II production CZ 27 from Pancho's excellent site. How does it compare with yours? With your serial number range and lack of German markings, my 2 cents is that your pistol was made in the time frame just after the end of the German occupation.If their are no Czech commerical proofs on the pistol and it has a "green/gray" Pakerized finish, my WAQ is that it was put together from parts in the factory for sale to GI's.

[fnh] is the 'S' Code WW-ll German ordnance code assigned to Bohmische Waffenfabrik Stronitz plant, Prague, Cxechoslovakia.....

thanks rufe-snow, the photos you posted are what I have. The only difference is that the finish is actually blued steel. I'm wondering if that wasn't done afterwards. Also, what appears as CZ on the plastic grips, looks to have been "removed" from mine. Anyone care to guess the value? I want to get a muzzleloader and was hoping this gun could generate that revenue. 0 -

If it can be established that your pistol is factory original,i.e.put together from parts on hand after the Germans were run out of Czechoslovakia, my 2 cents is that it would have substantial value to a collector.
