Colt .38 super automatic

I've come across a Colt .38 super automatic. It looks like a 1911A1 and is in excellent condition. The serial number is 92XXX. Does anyone have any idea when this was made? How about the value?

  Hello 1951 if 5 digit serial starting with 9xxxx value would depend on condition we should have in hand but pictures are the next best thing quote:"Praise the hardball gun"
