Scope for AR?????

    well here is my two cents although it may not be the best answere to your question. Personally on an AR configuration with the carry handle i would use a standard mount with a red dot scope. If i were wanting a varmint or target gun to mach up with a larger variable scope i would prefer a flat top to one with the carry handle. I like my scope to set low close to the barrel.

    Mark, don't know if you remember my posts of about 2 months ago when I traded my .44 automag for the Colt sporter MH which at that time I did the same as you to duplicate the Delta HB. I called Colt and they gave me the number of some LEO stores and I found the whole stock W/cheekrest (Colt logo and all) complete from a store in Ohio don't remember the name though but they sent it for $100.00 (complete) I was a little worried about the Tasco rubber armored 3x9x40 (the original scope) that it would not be the right choice for the D-HB and I was right. I am in the process of T&E'ing a couple of different scopes. Any recommendations.
