Where can I get a brass catcher for AR?
I would like to install a brass catcher on my Bushmaster Varminter to save the brass from getting dinged and dented. Who makes one and where can I buy it? Are there different types?
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
3-Gun Gear makes one that has a zipper on the bottom for quick dumping sold in The Blue Press 800-762-3845 or 480-948-8009 or fax 480-998-2786 www.bluepress.com
Or you could also try Cabellas. Good luck with your search.[:)]

There are several catcher models that have nylon bags that should work well on A2 And flattop models. I made one based upon online photos and it works great. I'd stay away from the hard "plastic" catchers; I bought one for a Mini-14 and it was a waste of $30. All the brass comes out with neck damage and 1/2 the time the catcher would not allow the brass to drop out of the way and cause the action to jam.
You may want to look into a less bulky brass deflector that drops brass at your feet. I made one and it works great. Here's a link to a commercially available one.http://www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR0186&storeid=1&image=brass.gif0
