Value - Browning A-500 G NIB
I've searched all 19 pages and haven't got a clue on this one. I would like to know the value of a Browning A-500 G, 12 Ga., 28" Vent Rib, 3" Mag chamber, Invector choke, Grade 1 that is still "New In Box". I purchased it from a friend (now deceased) roughly ten years ago and can verify that the gun has never been fired. Any pro with the know would be appreciated.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.0 -
Duckhunter has the right BB figure. I've not seen the G model (gas operated) but have the R model (short recoil operated). Considered an "R" model but was warned off by the dealer as his wouldn't cycle
reliably. Reason I say this is the value is what someone is willing to pay. Be sure not to let someone confuse this with an "R" model. I don't know if reliability was an issue with the "G" model, but it certainly was with the "R", which could and would reflect on saleability.0 -
Thanks for the info to all. I would have thought this firearm would have appreciated a little more, seeing as how the retail value in '93 was about $500. I guess post '64 just ain't worth anything....[:(] Oh,well, I'll reckon it'll have to stay in the gun safe another decade[|)] THANKS!!![:)] 0
