I recently purchased a light12 a5 it has a japan slug barrel that appears to be brand new so i don't think the barrel is original to the gun the question i have is, is the gun japan made or belguim made the sn is 72g 11xxx and it has a flat knob from the books i have it appears to be fn production made in 1972 is this correct and is there a sure fire way to tell if a a-5 is japan or belguim even if the barrel has been changed thanks for the help

It's printed on the barrel, The reason Browning went to Japan is because Belgian could no longer hold the tolarance that Browning wanted, The Jap ones are better fit, but the Belgian ones are worth more money, Go Figgure.

SERIAL NUMBER. CHECK THE BLUE BOOK. JAP BARRELS WILL FIT BELGIAN RECIEVERS.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.
