Mauser-Werke 308

BLACKJACK
I have recently acquired a Mauser Werke Model 96 in 308 caliber. It is a 5 shot internal top feed magazine and no sights. It has a straight pull bolt with the M-16 type rotating locking lugs. A Monte Carlo stock in what looks like walnut. Made in Germany at the Oberndorf (SP) factory. Can anyone give me an estimate on its worth.

    This is a model that never went over well due to its unusual design and looks. I dont think they still make it. A while back dealers were closing them out at well under their former wholesale price. they sell in the $300 range around here. Generally anything made at Oberndoff/ Mauser is excellent quality and this model is well made ,just different.If you like then enjoy it.
