ruger grip question
i have a older 3 screw "flat top" single six - thinking about replaceing the grips - i've been searching for grips to fit the XR3 frame, when i pulled the panels off the grip frame is marked XR3RED, thought this was the new model frame marking, the grip emblem has the silver background with the "bird" being black, oppisit of the new model, do i need the grips for a new model single six or old model? i'm confused, i'll be ordering aftermarket grips so i want to be sure they'll fit. BTW the serial # is 8291xx - thanks for info

As far as grips go, you're in luck. Grips are a lot easier to find for the "Red" frame than they are for the "XR3".
As far as correctness of the grip frame goes, I don't know. You can go to Ruger's site to find the date of manufacture of your handgun.
