Model 1 sales AR 15 quality
I am looking at buying a MODEL 1 Sales AR 15 upper in .300 whisper. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this company, and if they had any feed back, positive or negative for me.
Thanks

There customer service is horrible...I was on the phone with them asking where my check had gone too, they said it arrived "1 1/2 weeks ago but they just now put it into their computers" I told them thats baloney and that I was going t cancel their check. Dude hung up on me.... I would suggest doing business w/ them elsewhere. Also, take a look at www.ar15.com for some more opinions on M1S.

I'll second JT. Don't know what happened to Model 1; they were a pretty good company, but several people seem to have had problems with them lately. JT has real good stuff, and they'll build it however you want it. 0 -
Our local S.W.A.T. builds their rifles using JT's kits if that speaks anything about their quality.

Model 1 seems to be swamped with orders lately since the ban went into the horizon...you can either take your luck with them or go elsewhere. Personally they seem to be a stand-up company and would not hesitate to go with them...

I think the only problem was expecting a company to expedite an order paid with a personal check.
It's the 21st century, get a credit card. Use your check book to payoff the entire credit card bill every month. Your credit card company will hate you, which is a good thing.[;)]

The problem was not with them taking forever with the check. The problem was with customer service. You DO NOT hang up on customers. The Model 1 Sales rep was sarcastic and tried blowing me off...thats not good business. Just because they have a nice website doesnt meen jack crap. Here is one f many complaints about them http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=206675 Do a search and you'll find more negatives then positives... I would suggest www.jtdistributing.com helpful and friendly.

I helped a buddy assemble a kit from model 1 a couple months ago and it went together fine and shoots fine. Looks like they're shipping a little slow and maybe not the best at dealing with impatient customers. I'd still buy from JT over model 1, but I don't think you'll be in any way disappointed with Model 1's product and they are a TINY bit cheaper (not enough for me to not order from JT) 0 -
Thanks for the input.
I would choose JT, but they don't catalog a 300 Fireball/Whisper complete upper. However, Del-Ton does, altough it is a bit more expensive. Does any one know of any other vendors selling complete uppers in this caliber.0
